Howdy, it’s been a minute but I’m back! This is my first look at the highly anticipated 2022 IS 500 F SPORT Performance Launch Edition. This car first debuted in front of enthusiasts and race fans at the 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida. I was planning to make it out to the event but unfortunately the timing did not work out. Thankfully, I was invited by Lexus USA to preview the car in person at the Lexus HQ in Plano, TX.
Being an owner and early adopter of the original Lexus IS F, it’s very exciting to me that Lexus has come out with the IS 500 F SPORT Performance. As the market is being dominated by crossovers and SUVs, it’s great to know Lexus still cares about fun-to-drive cars. I will share my initial impressions of this IS 500 on an upcoming write up.
