Golfing for charity…The Lexus Wei!

Since 1989, Lexus has been on the “The Pursuit of Perfection”. That commitment isn’t only in producing fine luxury automobiles, it also means giving back to the community. “The Pursuit of Charity” is how they do it, and for good reason. Luckily for golf enthusiast Stephanie Wei, she gives us her first-hand account of her epic Lexus golf experience, which occurred this past week.

So who, precisely, is Stephanie Wei? She’s a native of Seattle now living in the “concrete jungles where dreams are made of” (that’s New York, for those unfamiliar with the popular Jay Z & Alicia Keys anthem). She’s an avid golfer, writer, and a fellow blogger. Invited by Lexus, Stephanie and her partner, Yahoo! Sports writer Shane Bacon played a few rounds of golf at the links by the sea. They teed up to some of the most difficult holes in the golfing world. Despite the quickly changing elements of the Central California coastline, Stephanie manages to complete her game and give us great feedback on the courses she played. It would be safe to say that Pebble “Freaking” Beach as she describes it, was her fave. LOL! Being that this is the “December to Remember”, she swings her way to victory in the pursuit of that shiny new Lexus with the red bow on top. Unfortunately, she didn’t go home in a new Lexus, but hopefully, she got a red bow to take home as a consolation prize.

Lexus has contributed nearly $200 million for more than 3,600 charities around the United States with the Lexus Champions for Charity golf tournament. There were about 187 events from last year sponsored by the local Lexus dealer in the area. Lexus contributes $500 to each charity and sends two lucky golfers to play the three picturesque courses at the famous Pebble Beach Resort for the LC4C National Championship. The three courses include Spyglass, Spanish Bay and Pebble Beach. The championship winners will divvy up a $100,000 cash purse. Lexus is the official vehicle of the Pebble Beach Resorts.
